Fast Food

This work is about the overdose of medicine. Many pharmaceutical companies over-advertise medicine and health products to reduce people's resistance and to increase sales. However, they completely ignore people's excessive intake and dependence on medicine. People tend to have excessive trust in medicine. In my case, I used to go to the hospital and get medicine when I was sick. When I was sick and did not take any medicine, I felt uneasy. I feel that taking medicine becomes an "easy way” out, even more, a kind of spiritual sustenance to me. I believe that I will get better after taking the medicine but ignore the harm that it could bring to my body. I decided to create a sculpture, a "hamburger combo" with pills, prescriptions and syringe to express the idea that medicine has become "fast food" for modern people.
